As trees are dormant during the latter part of the year, it is the best time to resize and reshape any large trees, and deal with any damaged or rotten branches.
Fruit trees should be pruned during the winter, this will help to improve the fruit yield in subsequent years.It is also the best time to plant trees, replacing any that have been lost, or to develop your garden further.
